Frank C. "Duke" Steinemann, Jr. - CEO
Mr. Steinemann formed Steinemann & Company in 1979 and has over 38 years of real estate ownership, brokerage, management and development experience. In 1970, prior to forming his own company, he entered the real estate business in investment underwriting and sales and subsequently became an advisor and acquisition specialist of regional shopping centers and major office buildings for Hexalon, a consortium of Dutch and English pension funds.
Mr. Steinemann is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in History. He has served as a member of the Urban Land Institute, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, Northeast Florida Chapter of NAIOP, Board of Visitors: Kenan-Flagler Business School, Amelia Island Concours Board of Directors, Flagler College Board of Trustees, Mayo Clinic Corporate Leadership Council, City of Atlanta Economic Development Corporation, Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Buckhead Coalition, Midtown Business Association, Central Atlanta Progress, Atlanta Historical Society, and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).
His building developments have won numerous awards in recognition of quality new development and restoration in Midtown/Downtown Atlanta. Additionally, over his career Steinemann has participated in real estate transactions exceeding one billion dollars.
Charles W. (Buddy) Young, Jr. - Senior Vice President & Partner
Mr. Young is Senior Vice President of Steinemann & Company and a Development Parter of
Mr. Steinemann. He has been affiliated with Steinemann & Company since 1993.
Mr. Young has over forty-eight (48) years of construction and development experience. Prior to joining Mr. Steinemann, Mr. Young spent 18 years as President of Young Construction, Inc., and Atlanta Construction Services, Inc., both General Contractors. His companies completed over 500 projects from office, warehouse, retail, restaurant and multi-family. Mr Young’s major clients included Home Depot, IBM, City of Atlanta, Georgia Tech Athletic Association, Lenox Square Mall, Phipps Plaza, Bone’s Restaurant Group, Pleasant Restaurants, Morton’s of Chicago, and the Ponce de Leon and Timothy Woods Apartments.
Prior to having his own companies, Mr. Young was employed by the Ira H. Hardin Company, now
DPR Hardin Construction, for six (6) years where he worked as a project manager on the development teams that completed over 3,000,000 square feet of office and hotels projects in Atlanta, GA. All of the projects Mr. Young has completed exceed $500,000,000 in value.
Mr. Young is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction. He has served as a trustee for the Georgia Tech National Alumni Association. He has been a member of the Associated General Contractors of America, The Rotary Club International, The National Association on Industrial and Office Properties, the Atlanta, Jacksonville and St. John’s County Chambers of Commerce, and is an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta. Mr. Young served as an Active Duty Officer in the United States Army for three (3) years after college.
Michael B. Cills, CPA - President and COO
Michael is a graduate of The George Washington University. With over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry, he has been involved in numerous transactions including refinancing debt, acquisition, leasing and disposition of properties, and development.
In his role as President of Steinemann & Company, he is responsible for running various companies under Steinemann & Company umbrella. This includes office, warehouse and residential properties, investment entities and a car dealership.
Before joining Steinemann & Company, Michael worked for Arthur Anderson LLP and
Deloitte & Touche , LLP as a tax consultant. In that position he consulted and structured over $1 billion of real estate investment by foreign institutions, public real estate investment trusts, private companies and individuals. Michael also received his CPA license in 1995.
